The Backyard is DONE!!!!

Yeah! That is a smile of accomplishment on Josh's face, after almost 3 years in our home we completed the back yard! I keep thinking why did we wait so long? It is so nice to have grass and no dirt or mud or rocks hat track in on our shoes. Not to mention a place for a particular little boy to run. Ty loves it, I love it, Josh loves it, and even Rissa Roo loves it as long as the grass doesn't touch her toes :)
We Are SO HAPPY, Thank you to everyone who helped with the cement forms. . . leveling. . . hauling cement. . . sprinklers. . . dirt. . . backing up the truck. . . laying sod. . . fixing food having fun and pure man and woman power. We love everything!
we put woodchips along the outer fence wall which I think has a nice smell and is softer on the feet and more inviting than rock. Plus it's different, but it was recommended to put rock against the house to prevent earwig invasion. Ewe I think those are the ugliest little bugs.
Dad Mom and Tyson brought down some sandstone rocks, that are beautiful and add a touch of home.(good thing we have strong and willing muscles in this family those rocks were heavy) Ty likes to sit on this one and declare "this is a good seat" I think so too. Well we have already put the area to good use with BBQ's, tag, bubbles and motorboat. And thanks again to everybody for driving all the way out to our house we love it when you come and enjoy every visit.

Easter 2008

I am very happy to say that I made an Easter candy craft with the kids we made Bunny Racers. They were really cute the picture is small but there is proof that the yellow bunny peep racer was a success and tasty. I think this may become a tradition.
Easter was fun we had an Easter egg hunt/ BBQ with Family, the guys hid eggs all over the backyard in very creative places and the kids were amazed! Jadin and Ty kept finding egg after Egg, Ashlyn held her own and Sammy cleaned house, Daniel was happy to run around and Marissa was out for the count, it's hard when nap time falls right in the middle of all the fun. It was a beautiful day and the food was delicious. Thanks for the fun time everyone we love the Palmers and Boone family.

Marissa, Ty and Ashlyn found their easter baskets. We loved having Caleb and Sarah stay with us! Ashlyn is such a sweetheart although I think Ty taught her how maximize the talent of squeaking loudly.

We were also able to have Grandma and Grandpa Boone stop by with Laura and Michelle for sunday on their way to Rocky Point, we had Easter dinner together (which is the first time I have ever cooked a ham. . . thanks to Caleb's wonderful tips it turned out delicious, I really like his glaze recipe.)

Easter is such a beautiful day to remember the Savior, his atonement and resurrection. I felt especially thankful this year having so many people I love around me and imagining the blessing of being with them for eternity, thanks to the resurrection, I was bubbling with thoughts of gratitude all day long. The plan of salvation is so simple, it really is amazing how complete and perfect it is.

Guatemala

Josh returned home from Guatemala. He had an awesome experience and was able to help many people with medical problems. The people are very poor and would come in from rural areas for treatment. He even pulled a few teeth. Yikes I didn't even know he knew how to give an IA injection let alone yank some molars! The things you can learn in a 3rd world country. He also toured the ancient ruins of Taloom, check out an active volcano and it's lava flow and visited a beautiful lake that some believe to be the waters of mormon from the BofM. For the first week the group stayed at a convent in the moutains, the nuns took care of them he said they were very nice and cooked excellent food. They called him Joswavea. Josh said the "Mother" reminded him of President Hinckley she was very compassionate, kind and had a witty sense of humor and she was very tiny only about 5 feet tall. He came home tan and smiling I'm not sure if it was because I got to see us, or because he was back in America, or because he finally got off the airplane :) He brought us all gifts. Ty got a wooden snake that he immediately started hissing at all of us, I got a beautiful black Jade necklace and earings, and Marissa got a cute hand embroidered pink dress ( that barely fit due to her extreme chunkiness). It's good to be together again but I think Josh has plans to return again in the future.
