Introducing Livvy!!!

Livvy is our blue eyed sweet heart. Her personality is happy, peaceful and content. She was born May 27, 20009 in Show Low, AZ. She arrived one week early on a Wednesday at 5:38 pm. She weighed 7lb 10 oz and was 21 inches long. Grandma Boone was able to be our Nurse which was a special treat. Ty and Rissy love their little sis. She was well received! Rissy constantly puts her Dolly on top of Livvy in her bouncer so she will have a friend. Ty is very willing to race and get a diaper or the wipes (Unless his muscles run out of energy. . . of course.)

I really didn't know what to expect having three children but I am enjoying myself part of that is because I am finally home full time! I LOVE being just a mommy and wife! I get out more with 3 kids than when I had 2 kids. I have found that one of the best ways to restore sanity to the house is to simply LEAVE THE HOUSE. Leaving gives me just enough distance to realize the peace I do feel in my home with my children. The picture with Josh and Livvy is in our living room in San Diego and is a pretty common sight. Josh has the magic touch when it comes to putting Liv down for a nap. . . he usually joins the party. His 80 hour work weeks catch up with him.
Riss and Liv fell asleep after story time one afternoon and I had to capture their cute little hands, they grow so fast it makes my heart ache.

Staring at my girls sleeping made me dream of all the fun we are going to have together. I loved growing up with my 4 sisters each one holds a special and tender place in my heart.

Ty doesn't know what he is in for with 2 sisters :) He told me that he thinks he needs another baby but not until he's 7 and it doesn't have to be a girl. That Ty of mine is a thinker I like it.

Livvy is a cheery baby she will smile at everyone, she charms the members of our ward with her dancing blue eyes and rosy cheeks.

People in San Diego are quite friendly and kind we are enjoying the city and all it has to offer.

Residency is right around the corner!

San Diego Here we come
It's official we are going to California for 3 years. Josh will be graduating with a Doctorate in Podiactric Medicine early June and Starting residency June 12th. The weather is beautiful and there are many things to do in San Diego. I'm looking forward to moving to a new place and enjoying a new adventure. I'm 4 weeks away from my due date of a new baby girl. I'm excited Marissa will have a "girl friend" she had been surrounded by boys most of her life. We are working on getting a house to rent and we finally bit the bullets and got a bigger vehicle. Ok Ok it's mini van. I love it but Josh has declared it is my van and he would rather not be known as a mini van guy, but deep down I think it's growing on him. Some day he can get that truck he is always thinking about just not this day. I love Josh and I am very happy that he has done so well in medical school. He is truly a smarty pants.

Ty Wisdom

Lately my attention has been captured by the wisdom and explainations of my 3 year old. I love that he is growing up but I really love hearing his take on things. For example the other night we were driving home and Ty was looking out his window and he exclaimed "Mom a piece of the moon broke off" there was a half moon and he was sure that a piece had fallen off and it needed to be fixed. After we talked about why he could only see a piece of the moon he declared, " Can you turn off the moon Mom." I guess he was ready for some sleep and it was just too bright.

This week Josh flew to Miami for a school meeting and he was telling Ty that he would be going to Miami. Ty turned very serious and said, " Not My Ami, Dad . . . Your Ami" It made me smile.

I was driving Ty home from preschool one day and he started explaining our families hair. He said mom has pretty hair, Rissy has soft hair, Dad has pokey hair and I have tweaky hair. :) Ty does have very thick hair which has a mind of it's own with cowlicks to spare or tweaks as he calls them.

Last of all Ty shared his wisdom of his life with me (most of these conversations occur in the car) He said, "Mom I used to be little but now I'm growing." I couldn't argue with that and he was so serious I could tell he had really been thinking about it.

Well there are some insights into Ty's mind. I love that kid he is very observant which can be good and tricky at the same time.

Playing Catch Up

There has been a lot of things going on over the past few months, but I'm just going to give a very quick recap. First Josh left in September for the Midwest for 3 months he was in Wisconsin and Detroit, Michigan. He's back now. thank goodness. I did get to see him a couple of times. For one of Josh's school positions we got to go to the Cayman Islands for a few days which was nice. Josh also came home for Thanksgiving. Now we are all back in ShowLow together again. I'm still working 1-2 days a week for a local dentist in town. Josh will finish the rest of his rotations up here in ShowLow till graduation in June than off to residency for 3 years in a yet to be determined location. That is pretty much it short and simply put more details to come...Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Oh and by the way Boone baby # 3 is on the way set to arrive early June 2009. Alamogordo

We have been in Alamogordo, NM for the past few months. We visited the White Sands National Park it was cool. . . we sled down the sand dunes and had BBQ chicken drum sticks. Ty loved running on the sand.
Here is my big boy officially potty trained. Here he is proudly displaying the "sticker board," he got to pick out a train sticker every time he went #1. He also had a "treasure box" full of things he picked from the dollar store. He got to pick a treasure every time he went #2. He did awesome and I must say I LOVE my little big man plus no more diapers! Yipee

Ty and Riss have gotten better at playing together. This picture is proof (at least for the moment) after the snap Ty promptly pushed her out of the tub and took over as "boat captain" Oh well. They do have moments where they are giggling together and I really enjoy those I hope they will be good friends and I also hope they will keep each other in line.

Marissa has just discovered that she has legs and can actually move around she still hasn't figured out how to walk at 15 months old. I really don't mind her chill attitude toward walking. I'm sure she will figure things out at her own pace obviously. She is however interested in climbing and trying to "fit" into things like this nice pot. She makes me laugh I love my little sweet pie!

Where Have We Been Lately?

Josh and I just went on the most amazing trip of our lives we toured ancient ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula and spent some quality time with each other and family. I didn't think we would be able to go on this great adventure because of Josh's rotation schedule but at the last minute his Shiprock rotation fell through and he was "forced" to take his vacation month in July which happened to be perfect timing. Thanks to Josh's parents, Joseph, Laura, Michelle and the Palmers we were able to leave Ty and Riss without having anxiety the whole trip. We were gone 11 days and it was the greatest adventure I have ever been on. The first picture is of Tulum a ruin next to the Caribbean ocean it was gorgeous, we swam on the beach below and got drenched by a tropical storm. Wow those storms are furious and then they are gone the clouds are beautiful ever changing.




This is a picture of Palenque we went to huge ruins in the middle of the jungle, every place we went I tried to imagine the people who had lived there and what their lives were like. I wish I could put up more pictures to show all the details and places we explored. I will tell you it was unreal completely unlike anything I could have imagined and very humid and hot. I actually got quite tan which is rare for me. We climbed up moutains and cruised down rivers and hiked through the jungles, we even went cave tubing! We flew into Mexico and then traveled in a tour bus across the Mexican country.


Here is our group there were 38 people and our tour guides were from Pinetop Arizona the truly fun part was that all of these people are my
extended family on the Adams side. My Mom and Dad went on this trip last year and had such a great time they wanted to put together a trip so we could all come and experience it too. My grandpa who is 84 and my granna who is 82 even came and had a great time. I was cool to see the ruins that were built and dated from 400BC to 1400AD. They were fascinating just observing the sheer size of the cities. There is a possibility that some of these ruins are from the people of the Nephites and Lamanites. That was amazing in its self to see the area where the Book of Mormon stories originated. This is a big group but if you look close Josh and I are on the third row up left side. All of my brothers and sisters came with their spouses except Brittaney who had her baby the day before we came home. Needless to say we laughed a lot. Oh and sweat a lot too.


This is a a city that has been uncovered but the crazy part is that mountain on the left side of the picture probably has uncovered ruins as well. There are hundreds of cities that haven't been uncovered due to the cost and labor needed to make it happen. Josh and I loved Mexico. Josh was pretty good at speaking Spanish which meant we had plenty of delicious fruit drinks . . . we recommend the Jugo Tropical for anyone staying in Chetumal

This is at a park in Valladolid we found these quaint little seats perfect for a chat just watch out for the birds. All of the towns and cities in Mexico have parks where people go to relax and enjoy the evenings. I would love to have more areas like this in America especially within walking distance of our home.

Oh Sweet Show Low

Joshua has offically started his 4th year of Podiatry school. He will be in Portland for the month of June, which means me and the kids have moved to Show Low. It is great to be living where cool area actually blows in through the windows at night. When we left our home for the last time I had a strange sense of unbelief mixed with nostalgia. I thought we would live in that house at least 2 more years. I will miss our home. But it is best to have faith that the Lord will take care of us where ever we go. Recently however I have been waking up at night completly disoriented, I seriously do a mental analysis like. . . I'm living in Show Low. . . Josh is in Oregon. . . .Ty is the little boy kicking me in the side and snoring. . . .this is my bed. Anyone ever experienced what I'm talking about? It usually occurs over the hollidays when we travel and switch from parents to in-laws, night to night. Oh well hopefull it will pass soon and it isn't the sign of a mental break down. Just kidding I'm really doing great my family is the best.

Sorry no pictures but I don't have access to a camera at the moment. But for anyone who is wondering we had a safe move and miss our friends in Tolleson thankgoodness for blogging and friendship!

May Days

May has been very busy for our family. We are getting ready to move and it's always hard to get things ready. Brittaney my amazing sister came over and helped us get things ready for a yard sale I have the best sisters they are all very talented and good at getting things done. Britt and Samara visited for the day Samara was blowing us kisses and being a sweetheart she and rissa had fun they are two months apart in age.

Yum Chocolate Nesquick tastes good with or without the milk. I never know what Ty will discover next. He is always exploring things that taste good or look like they taste good. On sunday I was feeding Rissa some mixed veggy baby food and Ty wanted a taste against my better judgement I put a small bite in his mouth, which was promptly spit out in a spray that covered my dress with orange food. At least we were on the back row on the hard chairs, All I can say is. . . . baby wipes have saved me more than once.

I was busy cleaning up dinner and I realized Ty was being really quite which usually means trouble or a mess to clean up. But to my suprise I found him hiding out in the wicker blanket box. He made himself a comfy little spot to curl up in until bed time. Lately he has been telling me "watch ME mom" as he shows me his new "trick" like rolling out the measuring tape. Since mother's day he had been telling me daily "happy mother's day mommy, I love you" I don't mind that every day is "happy mother's day".

Since I haven't really posted any close-up pictures of Marissa I thought I should. She has been making really cute noises lately and giggling alot(especially when we blow bubbles on her tummy or legs) She flaps her arms like a penguin when she gets excited and starts wiggling her feet in small circles. She cracks me up!

Here is Marissa she is almost 11 months old and just started rolling and moving about, she is very rolly I love to snuggle her in my arms. Ahh I love my little Rissy. She is a content and happy baby.

Everywhere we go people comment on her chunky legs and her ankle roll. She got 3 shots yesterday, and only cried a little but today she had a little bruise around one of the injection sites. It was so sad.

The Backyard is DONE!!!!

Yeah! That is a smile of accomplishment on Josh's face, after almost 3 years in our home we completed the back yard! I keep thinking why did we wait so long? It is so nice to have grass and no dirt or mud or rocks hat track in on our shoes. Not to mention a place for a particular little boy to run. Ty loves it, I love it, Josh loves it, and even Rissa Roo loves it as long as the grass doesn't touch her toes :)

We Are SO HAPPY, Thank you to everyone who helped with the cement forms. . . leveling. . . hauling cement. . . sprinklers. . . dirt. . . backing up the truck. . . laying sod. . . fixing food having fun and pure man and woman power. We love everything!
we put woodchips along the outer fence wall which I think has a nice smell and is softer on the feet and more inviting than rock. Plus it's different, but it was recommended to put rock against the house to prevent earwig invasion. Ewe I think those are the ugliest little bugs.

Dad Mom and Tyson brought down some sandstone rocks, that are beautiful and add a touch of home.(good thing we have strong and willing muscles in this family those rocks were heavy) Ty likes to sit on this one and declare "this is a good seat" I think so too. Well we have already put the area to good use with BBQ's, tag, bubbles and motorboat. And thanks again to everybody for driving all the way out to our house we love it when you come and enjoy every visit.
